MINUTES
A quorum of over
100 members was noted as present and President Pam Schneeman called the meeting
to order at 11:15 a.m.
Pam first
presented the slate of officers and members for the Church Board as posted in
the Social Hall and published in the Church Bulletin as follows:
President: Bruce Johnson
Vice President: Rich Atwater
Secretary: Mike Middleton
Treasurer: Ed Wetzel

presented the slate of Church Council officers and members-at-large including:

all officers and members-at-large were elected by the congregation.
Pam next
reported that at the closing of the Church’s financial books in 2003 an income shortfall of approximately $24,000 or 8% of the
budget was identified. She pointed out
that the church is not experiencing any cash flow problems at this time because
of pre-paid 2004 pledges and that the Board is working to resolve this issue by
identifying economies in the 2004 budget.
Savings already made include $500 in postage, $750 in liability
insurance, $3,000 in employee health insurance premiums, and $2,700 saved by a
Church Board decision to withhold the last quarter of dues payments to the UUA
Heartland District. Pam said the Board
will look to additional fund raising, savings in the budget, and new pledges to
further reduce the deficit.
Nancy Baney presented the Auditor’s Report.

presented a thank you gift to out going President Pam Schneeman and Vice
President Tom Sibert.
