This outdoor, revival-style extravaganza will highlight the “big tent” philosophy of Unitarian Universalism (UUism),
celebrating and creatively expressing the unconditional love and acceptance of our faith.

Enjoy hands-on intergenerational activities such as rhythm and chant circles, community art-making, and liturgical
dance. Participate in a youth-led worship then rock out with Chicago based-band, Cobalt and the Hired Guns. Bring
a picnic dinner for the community dinner, and get ready for an evening of dynamic music and worship that features the
nationally-acclaimed Rev. Meg Barnhouse, singer-songwriter, preacher, and humorist; Rev. Bill Breeden, UU Church
of Bloomington; and Rev. Stephen Sinclair, UU Church of Indianapolis. Firebrand preaching will be punctuated by
music from a community choir (led by Pam Blevins Hinkle), special guest musicians, along with energetic
congregational singing.

STAY CONNECTED: Join us at HUUsier PalUUza on Facebook —invite all your friends to experience the magic
of our faith!

GOALS:  The Huusier Paluuza will highlight the welcoming spirit and sensory dimensions of our faith in a one-of-a-
kind experience that will bring Central Indiana UUs together and introduce UUism to our neighborhood and
community. Our goal is to make visible the uncommon denomination in greater Indianapolis by (1) creatively
expressing the “big tent” philosophy of our faith that flows from our Universalist heritage and our present day
commitment to the inherent worth and dignity of all people; (2) expressing spirituality through the arts and the arts
through spirituality, not as products passively consumed or observed, but rather as a deep form of both personal and
communal expression of and for the s/Spirit; (3) presenting UUism as a multidimensional faith of broad generational
appeal with wide ranging opportunities for participation, celebration, and fellowship; (4) mining and showcasing the
cultural riches within Central Indiana’s UU congregations; and (5) demonstrating the collaborative spirit of our
denomination.

ORGANIZERS AND FUNDERS: This project, which is funded by the UUA’s Fund for UUism and the
Community Beacon Fund of UUI, is a ground-breaking collaboration between seven congregations: All Souls
Unitarian Church (Indianapolis), First UU Congregation (Terre Haute), Heartland UU Church (Zionsville), Oaklandon
Universalist Church (Indianapolis) , UU Church (West Lafayette), UU Church of Indianapolis, and UU Church of
Kokomo.
